develop a career in art. A youthful fascination with TV and Movie westerns grew into full blown horse crazies and the next thing

ya know, Anita was crowned as a rodeo princess.  After 2 years of the fine art program at the Emily Carr College of Art and graduating with a degree in design from Kwantlen College, Anita worked for 10 years as a commercial artist designing signage, murals and ephemera.

Anita's humorous work features colourful cowgirls, their horses and dogs and the crazy things that happen when they get together.

Her cartoons have earned her the 2015 Academy of Western Artists Cartoonist of the Year award and are published

internationally by Leanin' Tree. Anita is also a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, her fine art featuring her love of horses,

nature and the western life. Anita now enjoys teaching art and working from her home studio in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
